Our Good Father Will Never Leave Us
February 20, 2017
I wanted to share this personal, but encouraging word that happened to me today in Singapore because it really is a word for all of us.
Our father is a personal, loving father. He knows each of us uniquely, even though he has billions of children.
Years ago, right after receiving a huge healing in my life (the testimony many of you know about), I started hearing the voice of the father in a deeper way and was so excited. We are his sheep and we hear his voice, but I was just learning this truth. I was growing in hearing the voice of my father. He started showing me grey feathers. It's a very long story, but he was using them to woo me to him and his love.
Right after my healing, our family was going on vacation and I was very fearful about leaving my home and feeling unsafe at the time. The day we were supposed to leave, as I was walking my dogs, I saw a grey feather on the sidewalk. I heard the father tell me to pick it up and bring it home, but I did not know why. I just did it. I had collected grey feathers from all over the place which to me were a sign that he was intimately involved in my life. When we got to Wisconsin and were walking on the beach with my family, all of a sudden, a wave washed on the shore and when it left, I saw a grey feather. It looked exactly like the grey feather that I had picked up in my neighborhood that day. I instantly smiled and heard the voice of the father say, "I am with you everywhere. I am here with you now. I live in you." I felt so much peace in that moment and knew my Heavenly Father was intimately involved in my life.
As the years have gone on, the father has spoken uniquely to me in other ways. Today, in Singapore, we visited a beautiful garden and I immediately saw a woman wearing a shirt with grey feathers. I instantly heard him say, "I am with you and I will never leave you. No good thing will I withhold from you." I got tears in my eyes as I was in a crowd of people, but our good Father spoke uniquely to my heart. And that's who He is to all of us.
We have a good Father who will never leave us or forsake us, abandon us or reject us. We are never alone. He fills every void in our hearts. He loves talking to us beloved children. He loves reassuring us with his love and truth. He is an amazingly good father.
I want to encourage you that your good Father knows YOU uniquely and he knows what you need today. Listen for His voice loving on you, comforting you, strengthening you, filling you to the max with grace and everything you need for the moment.
A beautiful friend texted me today, "Day by day. You have grace for this moment!" And that is the truth!
