A Divine Shift
January 23, 2017
When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel.
And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever toward Israel.”
Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
But many of the priests and Levites and heads of the fathers’ houses, old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this temple was laid before their eyes. Yet many shouted aloud for joy,
So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people, for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the sound was heard afar off.
A New Day
A divine shift has occurred in America today, and a new foundation has been laid.
As I watched and listened to the crowds in Washington DC following President Trump's inauguration, I was reminded of the scripture in Ezra 3:13 where it tells how some people were shouting for joy and others wept in sorrow - so loudly that you couldn't discern one from another. Today truly some wept at the loss of the passing administration, while others cheered and rejoiced at the new.
This inauguration clearly defined that we as a nation have taken a major step forward in restoring our nation to the Godly principles upon which it was founded.
Nature itself spoke of God's pleasure. Franklin Graham referred to it when he said, "Rain is a sign of God's blessing, and it began to rain as President Trump stepped to the platform."
President Trump and his choice of inauguration speakers all made it very clear that we as a nation will no longer shy away from speaking of God as our ultimate power and that we will freely speak the name of Jesus Christ.
Many of us have cried out to God as we repented and humbled ourselves before Him. He is faithful and is all about keeping His promise to heal our land.
What Is Our Job Now?
There is much work to be done and we each must do our part. We must continue to pray and seek His Face as we rebuild and head in the right direction. Just as in Nehemiah 4:17, they had a weapon in one hand as they rebuilt their wall with the other.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to pull down of strongholds. (2 Cor. 10:4)
In order to make America great again, we must make the church in America great again.
How Do We Do That?
For one thing, we must call an end to the spirits of anger, bitterness, division, strife, and hatred that has tried to take over our land.
Every part of the body - every person in our nation - is needed. We are a nation of diverse backgrounds, but we must not be a divided nation. A house divided cannot stand. God is love. We must extend His love to others.
We must reach out in particular to the younger generation. Our "millenials." Show them that they ARE an "entitled" group. Entitled to the blood and power of Jesus Christ, His Love, and ours - the love of the church.
The enemy sent it's emissaries into the campuses of our nation and, in cult fashion, tainted and programmed our children's minds with lying agendas. We must send our troops in and rescue them back from their bondage to the lies that have been fed to them.
Over the Hill Gang
It's a time of great favor and victory to the "over 50" group. Your age isn't an "excuse" to opt out. Rather, it denotes a higher level of experience from which comes a greater level of authority.
Donald Trump is 70 and just now becoming President. John Glen went back in space in his 70's. If you're old, be bold!
Rent the movie "Space Cowboys." Like them, you will go where you've been before and take the younger generation with you to do great exploits.
With you and through you, the years the locusts and cankerworm has eaten are being restored. (Joel 2:25). You will even be used to help raise up the next generation.
The mantles of those who have passed on are being imparted to those who are now to take their place. As it has been said, we can let their ceiling be our floor and thus step out at a higher level.
God's marching orders as well as God's stay put orders are being given. Like the sons of Issachar, we each must know and operate in our proper time and season. Only do what the Father says is ours to do. His agenda always yields the greater blessing.
A divine shift has truly occurred in our nation today. God has had mercy on us and restored hope. It can be felt in the spirit in a very tangible way.
Why? Because the true transition of power that has occurred today is that we have placed our nation back into God's Hands.
Let us be thankful and faithful with this new opportunity to truly make America and the Church in America great again. Let us never again let it go.
It's time to think BIG, dream BIG, and do BIG.
Let's keep our new president Donald Trump and his family in prayer.
Lord, Thank you God for blessing our nation and giving us another chance. May we be found faithful. In Jesus name. Amen.
